I'm looking for a recipe for home made tack cloths. If anyone has had sucess with this please reply.

I've just been told this ,but have not tried it, so no guarantees. You use cheese cloth and just work some varnish into it. It apparently does not last long before it hardens up. Hope this might be helpful.
