I am searching for clock faces, movements etc. I am building mantel clocks as wedding appreciation gifts for my parents. I am located near the Brantford area and would appreciate any advice as to where to find the best quality clock pieces at a reasonable price. Store names and locations would be greatly appreciated!!!

Dave; Go to www.clockparts.com (http://www.clockparts.com)
You won't find better quality or prices anywhere even when considering the exchange rate. Fast service and HUGE inventory.Ask for their new 2001 full color catalog.

Hi W.Y.,Did you know there is a canadian site for clockparts.com. All prices are in canauk bucks.
http://www.innovspec.com
Yes Brian; I am aware of the subsidiary outlet in Canada but they cannot supply the 3&1/2" dial in the clock pictured and when comparing their prices with the USA plus exchange price for the same items, the USA prices are much better.Innovation Specialties have recently bought out Bradco Clock co. and clockparts.com is now a part of the largest clockparts manufacturing and distribution centre in the world. I am fortunate that I live in a border town and have dual addresses. I order small quantities often to be sent to my us address . By keeping my orders under $40.00 each, I don't have to pay any taxes at the border. They wont do the paper work for that amount.I order on line and receive it in 3 days by priority post.

Hi Dave it is surprising how much work can go into making the case of a clock. My father hadthe cherry tree that we grew up with, cut and sent to me. From this wood i made clocks for several of my siblings hoping the hands of time are kind to them. I can tell you that there is nothing more dissapointing then watching the minute hand sit idle because the movement was not of good quality.I would recomend having the movement before starting the clock case. Murray Clock Craft Ltd @ 1-800-268-3181 and I hope they are still in business. You will find everything you could possibly need.
