It's time to paint my house and I'm trying to find out who's paint to use. I was thinking maybe General cause it's apparently a Canadian company. Anybody have any experience with their paint or any other suggestions?

Have you thought about Home Hardware - it is also a Canadian company and they manufacture their paint in house in their Burford Paint plant - I have used it and never had a problem.

not affiliated etc...

I agree with the Home Hardware paint … Just the other day some of the guys at work were talking about renovations and paint we all decided the HH was the best … get the expensive stuff, goes on smooth, no splatter, and cuts well in the corners, two coats and I was done. Looks like a mess while drying and looks so uneven then as it dries it all evens out beautiful. Don’t know anybody that has tried the paint and dislikes it.

Check out C2. It's a relatively new brand produced by the former head chemist for Pratt and Lambert. I have used it and was quite impressed. It is expensive though. I also thoroughly like Pratt and Lambert.

You didn't specify a location, but see if you can find a Cloverdale Paint dealer in your area. Their "super acrylic II" is really good stuff at a reasonable price.

Both my father and my father-in-law do general contracting and they both like it a lot.

I ended up using the General paint to paint my house. It turned out to be excellent paint to work with....it rolled great and was smooth for cutting in.
