Here's a link to a great article on motors and shop electricity. Excellent if your shopping for power tools and machinery and are loosing track of amps/volts/horsepower/watts specifications on the different manufacturers claimed ratings for power. 1 hp is not 1 hp in many cases...

It also explains the ups and downs of 120/220 volts etc...

Definately a keeper for me...
