I thought white pine trees grew pretty fast. If you have a moment look at this...

In 1975 I bought the fiberglass hull and deck of a 32 ft. sailboat.I finished the exterior with Honduras Mahogany and the interior with teak. Most of the teak had growth rings from 20 to 30 to the inch.A few years ago I did some custom work for another sail boat and he used teak that was plantation grown and the growth rings were 3 to 5 to the inch and it was not any were near as good looking as the teak I used and he still paid $20.00 a bd.ft.for it. Rodger over and out

At first glance it's an interseting concept but did you check out the paragraph on harvesting those trees? Smalls like a bit of a scam to me.... They talk about how much a Teak tree is going to cost in 25 years and how you stand to make $100,000 on a hundred trees but they don't disclose the actual or estimated costs of harvesting, management & care fees, milling and marketing costs.... sounds a bit fishy???
