I'm kinda cheap so I didn't buy anything for mine. I just open the drain cock enough that a little bit of air is escaping at all times along with the moisture. It takes some fine tuning but mine has been recycling about every 12 hours for the last year now.

Hi, thanks for the info. I was at the store and saw this, so I bought it. $9.00 plus tax. I now have it installed, so I find out how it work soon. I've had the compressor. for 15 years and drained it once a week. If it doesn't work I'll put the old plug back in, and I'm out $9.00. Will let you know, thanks again. Cheers Doug.

Good afternoon Bill Arnold and JP. I tried this Auto. Drainer thing this morning, after a couple of hours of sand blasting. The drainer did work when it got down to 8 lbs pressure in the tank, and it really works. BUT, my tank is at full pressure most of the time, and would take a long time to get down to 8 lbs. Next question, Bill, it sounds like you leave your compressor plugged in all the time, Arnold what about you?? Last of, all JP is right. Ask First, but then, life would be boring, but I would be richer. Thanks people, Cheers Doug

Now that you have done the product testing, what name is this thing sold under and where did you get it? I'm willing to blow nine bucks.
Thanks,
John

Thanks Lee, I always wondered why the only water in them hand air pumps we use, came off us. Now I know that they had automatic blow down valves. Never knew that. Cheers Doug
hey guys u should use a water separator. the drain only works on the bottom end. if u buy a good one u get the drain and saparator together.a little $$. but how much do air tools worth???
