I've filled pores in red oak with finish (shellac) before but it takes soooooo long! Ready to try something else.

I've heard of mixing fine wood dust with lacuer I believe but I don't use laquer. Will the same method work with sanding sealer for use under polyurethane (non-stearate).

Is there something that can be used that will still take a water or NGR stain like aniline die?

Any other methods? I'd like to try a few.

TKS.

Hi Steve, i havent filled the pores of wood in a long time but the product you are looking for is out there. It was available at Goudey Manufacturing in Toronto. Your local paint shop can likely order it in for you. They are in Toronto . Regards Roman
