hi,
I know there was a posting earlier this year about how to reverse the direction of a 115 electric motor. I need the info now and I didn't save it - of course. Could anyone post the information again please?
Thanks

Hello Al,
If your are referring to an induction motor, then the only way it can be reversed is by reversing the leads to the start winding. In some motors, these leads are not accessible and so cannot be reversed. Hope that this is not your case.
Be sure to take all necessary precautions before you dive into the connections!
Cheers,
Andy.

Al; I hope this can help. It is for a 115 volt motor. If yours is dual vaoltage, the info can be found at this site if you look around. The info is found under the heading of CAD drawings for a chosen motor.

HI Andy,
The motor I have is an older 1/3d HP+/-, 115volts, and 10.3 amps. There are only 2 leads to connect to and it dosen't matter which way they are connected, the motor turns counter clock wise.(when facing the shaft)
I need one that turns clockwise. What should I look for if I buy a motor of the shelf?
Thanks
