I went to Lee Valley's the other day to pick up a new can of water clear varnish. I was told that they are out of stock, and are discontinuing the line. Could anyone tell me where I could find that kind of varnish? Thanks in Advance Lance

Are you guys talking about a water-based polyurethane? If so, everyone knows I have an opinion and lots of free advice in this matter.

Jamie, I was talking about an oil based varnish that had been marketed by Lee Valley. It dried clear, with no amber overtones. I had tried it on some intarsia and liked the effect.

I need the same type product for spraying portraits in wood cut out of baltic birch so the portrait stays white instead of yellowing for a better contrast on the black background.

I have used a benjamin Moore 420 fast drying varnish cut 50/50 and wiped iy on , it was a non ambering , but I don't see it listed on there web site.
Circa 1850 has a non yellowing fast dry poly on there site that looks interesting,
