I cannot rip 1/4" or 3/8" stock with a carbide blade on my radial arm saw. It shatters the wood. It's ok for maybe 1/2" certainly 3/4" stock. I can successfully rip thin stock with the older style steel blade. Is this a common problem with radial arm saws? Does anyone else experience the same problem?
