Router bits from Blades n Bits ?

Has anyone ordered router bits from Blades N Bits recently ? The reason for asking is that I sent an email over a week ago asking a question on an item before placing an order. I sent another message using the contact us from their web site but still no response. This is not making me feel comfortable with placing another order.

I may need a new source for affordable router bits.

Effective December 31st 2007 we will be

:( Too bad as I bought one of their sets of 50 and it was great. If I use something a lot I buy a better one but some have last really well,

Just for clarification, that is Blades N Bits, not Busy Bee.

Thanks Chris will look at BB and see if they have the core box that I'm looking for.

And thank you Don, that explains everything. Its really too bad that BNB will be closing for good.

Sure wish I had a BB or a Lee Valley closer to home.

Hi Daniel,

Check the Samona website for a dealer near you. They have a huge selection of bits and are pretty cheap. We have a Tooltown here (based in Calgary?) that sells a lot of cheap stuff (Pit Bull, Samona, etc) - but carry a good selection of Powersonic (Samona) bits.

Blades and Bits seem to go out of business every month or so. Many of the items seem to be out of stock or their web site is down - so I've never had enough faith to order from them.

Also, have you tried Elite in Quebec. They are Canada's Ebay dealer I believe and have their own website. Pretty much the same as BNB, but charge too much for shipping.

Busy bee doesn't have a great selection, but they offer decent bits at a cheap price, with free shipping. I've had some problems with bearings on some BB bits - which is scary of the hex screw flies off at 22000 RPM.

You can also check the Kempston and CMT websites for dealers near you - but they don't tend to be inexpensive.

Lately I have been buying bits from www.routerbitsdirect.ca. They sell only Freud bits, which are top-shelf.
