This is our most recent coffee table about to be picked up by the soon to be owner.
We designed this off of one of Sam Maloofs small dining tables, basically shrunk everything down after deciding what size top I wanted.
I've now made this table out of cherry and walnut both look great, we're very lucky to have such beautiful woods here domestically.
I have a blog that describes the build and assembly of each side section. Building a wooden trestle
Dimensions are 49''long x 30''wide x 17'' tall
All joints are reinforced with 2'' long dowels, the leg sections are built with a tung that slides into a groove in a center post, which the center trestle connects with.
This one was made with cubbyholes, we could add drawers or not have either, but the cubbys are a nice space to put remotes, magazines etc....
We build all of our furniture by hand one at a time in our 2 man shop, located just west of Toronto, Canada. To view more detailed pictures or to view other work, please visit our Custom wooden rocking chair site.
Thanks for having a look
Paul
