You have good eyes, Steve, if you can read that name on the photo! I have the original 4 mb photo here, and can hardly read the Callandar name, even in extreme blown-up mode.
Serial number is 1553. I don't know where to find the manufacturing date from that.
Owner says it runs well; it will be a few days before I get it home.
Hi Jack
i picked up the same machine a few days ago with the original stand and motor. all parts are there. i was wondering if you could copy the manual for me as the Vintage Machinery website does not have this manual.
ive asked jack to scan and email to me so i can upload it
if he cant do that we'll have to wait until august when im in fredericton!!
looper, post a pic of your bandsaw and add your location to your profile

New member here. I am also looking for a manual for the Beaver 2300 Bandsaw and was wondering if anyone knows where one can be acquired. My father had some old woodworking machines stored in his garage for the last 20 years or so and I am looking to restore them to use in a new shop I am setting up in my garage.
i uploaded that manual last year to the vintage website, but i cant find it
i used jacks copy last summer when i was in fredericton nb
i guess i'll have to redo it but it wont be until august when im down east, i'll borrow jacks manual, scan it and upload it, again!!
not too many of the 2300's are around, the 3300 is much more common
if you have a particular question feel free to ask, a bandsaw is pretty basic
oh, and welcome to the forum, there's a bunch of beaver nuts here!!

Steve, if you have an extra copy, I wil buy one for you and also if you have one on for the 3300 as well. I have an original copy of a TS 3200, you are welcome to it if you want it, I ordered the wrong copy, I needed the 2200 not the 3200.
Take care
Jacques L
Note: I don't have any manual for any of my Beaver tools, if anybody has a spare copy , I would appreciate. This is the list
2300
3300
2700
3100
3400
3800
2200
Merci
Jacques
mike has sent me a pdf of the 2300 bandsaw manual, i will upload it to vintage machinery today
i dont have any hardcopy origanal manuals, there wont be many left im sure
but pdf copies are available on the vintage machinery website for download
http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex...px?id=83&tab=3
http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex...x?id=146&tab=3
http://vintagemachinery.org/mfgindex...?id=1191&tab=3
note there a three different manufacturers listed for beaver. callander foundry is actually the correct one, beaver was their brandname. some appear under rockwell international because rockwell bought the callander foundry in 1954
i uploaded the 2300 manual, pending approval from the site admin. should be available later today
and it has been approved by the admin at vintage, here's the link
