alternate filter for wynn?

HI I am looking for an alternate canister filter for a clearvue 1800.
I did some searching on old posts and found a camfil farr filter with nano fiber that fits.
they claim 99% of .5 micron or merv 16? most posts I have read said lucky to reach merv 10.
can anyone tell me if they are as good as the wynn filters. the camfil filters are about 145 before tax, and the wynns are 385 for a pair plus taxes and brokerage.
are there any more economical options with good performance?

If you post or send me the sizes I can get the info to my filter supplier to get you this info. Keep in mind the finer the filter, the more it catches so the shorter its life so more is not always better.

The Camfil price isn't all that bad as they a made state state and the shipping is quite high.

I forgot to mention, that there is a very good discussion on filters and efficiency on the Clearvu site. I think you will get feedback from the members there that will be better suited to your application.

One thing you have going for you is the Clearvue, properly setup and not over filled, passes very little dust through to the elements. That was one of the reasons I bought it. I had not encountered similar user feedback form other brands.

Trouble with these is there is no specification supplied. So for $265.00 it is difficult to make a comparison.

I finally purchased 2 camfil filters from toronto. I purchased directly from camfil, paid, $316/w HST. these are the green hemipleat 211736-1. I don't have the system set up yet but getting close, I need some more hardware, and then electrical wiring, planing on using a remote from busy bee. 80 bucks on sale.
hope this works.
I am not sure if these filters are merv 16 or 12? I asked several times when at the sales desk, they said that they were merv 16.... not sure if they knew or not. I think they just looked up the part number.
I have been saving up lots of dust to try to "prime" my filters with.
I will keep posting until It is running and filtering well.
