Nice. The orioles have been here a few days now (as well as the indigos, waxwings, gros beaks etc)) but not seen the hummers yet.
I get a kick out of this every spring:

My mother reported her hummers were back on Wed.
That is a week or so early for them...usually we use mother's day as the mark of when the feeders should go up...I guess we will get ours up today
Then it's back to shop mudding for me....
How hard can it be? Guys do it everyday
Wednesday here as well.

Saw our first pair yesterday Wilson!
Grandpa Ed x 2 & counting
Where we live here in BC the OK they have arrived on an average of Apr. 15th this yr. it was the 21st and as of a few days ago there are so many we put up the sec. 2 lt. feeder. With the nights getting down to freezing they line up until dark to fill up for the night. ruby throat, green backs, black chin and rufus are the kinds we get here.

Hummer came in this afternoon in my neck of the wood

They finally decided to visit my house. It was a Green Violate-er that came calling. Visited about 4 times and as he kept comming back I decided to get out the camera and take a photo.
They are really amazing to see them hover around and fast as a whip.

People are like a box of chocolates. It's hard to tell initially which ones are nuts.
This guy has been hanging around our feeders for about a week now.
