In my thread about the TV cabinet makeover, I alluded to having a lot of solid oak material left over.

First thing as to take one of the cabinet sides and cut it down for the table top. I didn't bother drawing up any plans. Everything was dimensioned from the top and what "looked right to me"

Some of the other parts were ripped and glued to make the legs

Other pieces went to make the bottom shelf and the aprons/stretchers

Ripped a few more thin pieces to make the vertical slats, and here is the dry-fitted result

Some sanding, stain/finish and then glue it up.
