This shaper was purchased from a fellow member on this forum in the fall of 2010, it came complete with 3/4" and 1/2" spindles and 1/2" and 1/4" collet adapters to use router bits. It started out life with a single phase 1 HP repulsion induction motor, I upgraded it to a three phase 3 HP Baldor motor powered by a VFD in 2011.

first of all is my 3300 bandsaw, callander foundry, now has fence and rails added from a 3200 tablesaw

I feel kinda bad that I started this thread and haven't added anything to it as of yet... Trust me, at some point I'll have something worth posting...lol.

I'm just curious how old does a machine need to be able to post pictures in this thread? And does country of origin matter?

I really don't believe the forum is sticking to any hard fast rules about what's considered "vintage/antique".

I know the country of origin has no bearing on anything. Hell..., if it's lasted long enough, or someone cared enough to restore it back into usefulness, I don't see why something chinese (or the like) should be excluded.

As far as age is concerned... I think the consensus was roughly 20yrs old, or out of production. However, if you restored something to the nines and it was only 15yrs old, I highly doubt anyone would complain if you added it to the gallery.

OK guys there are lot of machines that fall into this category we want to see pictures.

I have a Canadian made Rockwell lathe 46-200 that I've had for a few years, I believe from the papers that I found inside the starter it would be around a 1980 model. I recently picked up a three phase motor and a VFD for it, it is all apart now giving it a new paint job and bearings for the spindle. I will post some pictures when I get finished.

I'll be combining the three machines on a single bench, as Delta did back in the mid 1930's.
It was listed in the 1933 Delta catalog as Scroll Saw, Drill Press, Band Saw Shop No. 575.
The 620 Drill Press will be mounted between the 785 Band Saw, and the 700 Scroll Saw.
All three machines will be powered by this motor.

I love that scrolly Larry...

The addition of the second mount on the back end, really gives it a more substantial appearance. Did you notice any improvement during use...?

I couldn't really tell you Jarrett,
I never had the saw running before the rebuild.
I started with two 700's that both had the upper blade chuck missing or broken. The original chucks are cast Zamak and prone to breakage. Also very hard to find.
I used parts from later model Delta scroll saws to replace the cast chucks with the later steel chucks used on the 1200, 1440, 40-440 scroll saws. Much easier, and cheaper to find.
I'll do a post so you can see what was done.

Paint is all done and has been almost completely reassembled. Waiting for belts and new sheaves

This is currently in about 200 parts with the main parts stripped and primed. New cutter head bearings, new bronze gear, belts, sheaves. Hopefully will be completed in a few weeks.

Planer is a Delta 13". Model 22-101. They are nice little planers but do have an achilles heel. There is a bronze worm gear that if not kept in adjustment will wear and is made from unobtanium. There have been a few recent group buy threads on another site where the gears have been made, at a little better than $200 each. This particular planer is 3hp 3ph and weighs in right at 600#. I am hoping to have it finished in a few weeks. Darn job keeps interrupting me
