Default Molding Planes Help Wanted

Hey every one
I hand been reading up on molding planes for the past month or so and it seams like pretty hard stuff to do. I really badly want to make one but i just dont think i have what it takes. Does any one know of a class of some sort in the G.T.A area or a store would sell molding planes so i could see one before I start to wreck some wood.
Any help would be great Thanks again Adam Thorpe Pickering

- Go to the Clark and Williams Website http://www.planemaker.com/
- Get Larry Williams DVD

Ebay usually has old molding planes, many from Canadian sellers

Lee Valley carries Tod Herrli's DVD on making Hollows and Rounds.
It's pretty easy to follow, but requires some specialized tools.
The DVD shows you how to make these tools too (floats) so
that isn't much of an impediment.

Once you've done a couple of H&R's it isn't much of a stretch to
move on to more complex profiles. And by then the next Tools
Of The Trade sale will be along and you can pick up some examples
there.

I started with the Todd HERLI video and then got the one by Larry WILLIAMS. I think they both are excellent although I believe the one by WILLIAMS is more, advanced, technical - whatever - I cant find the word.

And I have to confess I haven't built a plane from scratch yet. Just used the info to repair and tune the ones I have. About 30 at last count and growing rapidly.
