Maple Bowl
Big Leaf Maple 13" x 4 1/2" finished with antque oil
Undercut on the inner rim with a bead on the outside of the rim. I did the bottom with a simple foot to give the piece a bit of elevation. also you can see a bit of an inclusion on the bottom next to the foot, I chose not to fill the void, it gives the piece a bit of character. This will be the last of the turnings that I'll be able to do for a while. Enjoy John

YIKES!!! Look at all those awful bumps. Couldn't you at least take the time to sand them out?

John I'm in awe. 3 superb pieces. The woods are really nice and the forms are spot on to my eye. I hope all goes well with the surgery and you'll be back with some more really impressive stuff soon.

I figured your last bowl would mean you were doing some flat work for a while. After reading the other posts, I see that is not the case. Superb looking bowl, and good luck under the knife.
