  • Black mold removal - recommendations GTA

We’ve recently discovered some black mold in our basement. Need to get rid of it ASAP.

Any ideas on cost? It looks like it’s just in one area of our basement.

Has anyone had experience with its removal?
Hired somebody in Toronto or gta?

I suspect we most likely will need some waterproofing as well.

    Any help appreciated!

Wash it with a 5% bleach solution will kill the mould then take care of the moisture problem.

There are better things to use than bleach that are more persistent and safer to use.

H-D have a solution called somthing like Concodium   can't remember the exact name but it is easy touse in a garden sprayer , is persistant ,but takes a while to work . However it is much more effective and safer than bleach . Go check it out . I used it years ago with great sucess . However it does not fix the cause of the problem .That is usually a bigger task like evicting pot growing tenants.

As a CMHC indoor quality investigator, we (me and CMHC) still recommend bleach.
