Whats going on with the notification system? I have my settings set to notify if somone quotes me, likes my post, posts on a thread I started or posted to but I'm getting notifications for posts where none of the above is true. Started a few weeks ago, didn't want to bother the mods over the holidays. I currently have about 12 notifications that don't follow my settings. Some are for brand new threads on topics I have no interest in.

OK but who is that "someone" and how did they do it?

The forum's notification system is reportedly a service provided by NORAD .

That's a relief, I was afraid it was Putin.

            Re: Notification system

Doug, this may be due to having "Automatic Subscriptions" under 'Notifications' in the User Settings turned on. Try turning it off and see if the issue persists.
