  • CWW censorship and political correctness insanity

Seems we have gone politically correct insane.
I can type retarder but not r et ar d, which, for the overzealous word police is the noun meaning to apply retarder. For the (obviously) uneducated, this is a perfectly acceptable term in the world of finishing and refinishing
This childish stuff really gets me annoyed. Grow up CWW!!!

well, I'm pretty sure the "word police" function comes pre-programmed by v-bulletin, but we might be able to see about editing the list of target words. Can't promise anything on the growing up front though.

*You don't! You have to grow old but there is no requirement to grow up. Just ask my wife!

You're right Callee, we don't police the words people use on the Forum. Vbulletin has a built-in list of hundreds of words that it filters out. I'll remove the word r e t a r d from the list.

            Thank you Carl.
Does V Bulletin have an option for allowing "technical" words?

Surely if Carl can delete, he can add.

There is no option or even need for allowing words. All words are allowed unless they are in the unallowed list.
