After market camera/mic for pc

Howdy,

With zoom and other software available for online stuff in our changing world I've been considering an after market camera/mic for my older PC.

I know absolutely nothing about them other than a quick Ooogly search.

From quick search it seems most are plug and play and prices range from about $60-$500 (and more)

I'm thinking something in the $75-$125 should probably do all I need it to do.


Any suggestions or experience with these gadgets?

I have a Logitech C270 webcam . have had it for 3-4 years, , it has great picture and sound, simple plug & play, I paid ~$50 then but now Amazon sells it for under $70:

That is a pretty good camera. you don't need anything other than 720p honestly. anything larger starts to become a bandwidth hog.

This webcam (Logitech C922 Prostream Webcam) is really well established and has many followers.

There's a bit if a shortage out there right now... but I'd pickup whichever logitech is available in your budget and you can be confident that you'll get something reasonably good.

Unless you're planning on starting a steaming channel or something I wouldn't overthink it.

Stan -- I've been using wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard for years. never had a problem and very easy on batteries. FYI.
