Nope. Not a misprint. The link is to the type I am talking about, a very good saw. Besides Ryobi are yellow, not red

There is a RBI scroll saw for sale on Facebook Marketplace in St Catharines Ont, or at least there was this morning, for $150.00 (down from $400). I would put up a link but while it showed this morning I can't find it now because it is outside the 500K radius of S'toon. It looks to be in good shape and if someone is interested they should be able to find it. They are $1,300US to $1,500US new plus shipping.

i may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure that that is a morse taper headstock. if you look very carefully at the outboard end of the headstock spindle, you can barely see a hexhead bolt. that would be the drawbolt for the mt2/mt1/threaded adaptor. this allows the use of mt2 fittings in the headstock like pen and ring mandrels. unfortunately it also appears to have the old dead center tailstock although there is a way around that too

The belt cover has a couple of cracks and has already been welded. The condom sits nicely on top and stays even when the quill is completely up. There will be some challenges to secure the belt cover but other than that it is in very nice shape.
Replaced the motor with a 1.5 hp 3 phase Leeson, replaced the switch, connected a VFD and cleaned off most of the grime. I used the slow speed pulley support to support the belt cover. I was only able to get 2 speed ranges. If I ever find a 5” 4 step pulley with a 3/4” bore ill change it
