        Thank you.

Great price for a basic starter lathe ... pretty heavy duty!

You're right, that is a great price. I'm not a lathe person, but even I know a good price when I see one.

Hey! Who got the motor and didn't bother to take the lathe!?
Looks like I made a good publicity for someone else's ad...

                The lathe is still available.
                Isn't it ridiculously cheap?
I guess I should paint it to make it more attractive.
                But....

If I lived anywhere near you I'd pick this up in a heartbeat.

                    Andy, don't forget about ruckering.
Stuff gets moved around pretty often.

                      hi Andy,
it was a good deal in deed.
                      Thank’s for your input.

                      It’s now sold.
A young fellow bought it. I’m pretty imprested with what he accomplished with his previous lathe. Which was not much. I mean the lathe, of course.
So I can attest it went to a good home.

Happy new year to every one,
                      Michelle

                        Hi Noel,

Please forgive my ignorance, but what is ruckering?

Re: heavy duty 72" bed lathe

Ruckering is named after a great fellow that was very helpful transporting stuff from member to member. Happens a lot on this forum. Pottering will come up too. That's named after a guy that was great for storing stuff until someone could pick it up. A machine in transit could be ruckered and pottered several times until it reaches its destination. Just ask.
I'm not getting older, I'm getting worse.

Ahh, and all this time I thought that Pottering involved moving something big and heavy by just waving a magic wand...
