Re: Looking for a 220 volt 1 or 3-phase wide belt (not drum) sander

I called about the 12" Mini Wide Belt Sander (Open end, 24" max width capacity), https://www.kijiji.ca/v-power-tool/o...nt=app_android and don't think it was Igor I was speaking with. Regardless, that particular machine is more akin to a jointer, as the belt is on the bottom, located between two independently movable (up and down) tables. There is a feed roller on the top. Whatever amount of wood you wish to remove, you set the infeed table to; the outfeed table is set to the top of the sanding belt - again, just as you would if it were a jointer.

The owner and I both concluded that it wasn't at all what I was looking for, so I declined to make an offer. So Jason, thanks for looking out for price drops for me, but I'm not interested in this machine.

For everyone, here's a better description of what I'm looking for: a 15" open sided widebelt sander in working order with 220 volt motors, selling for the sub $2,500 range.

        Heres your machine Marty. https://www.govdeals.ca/index.cfm?fa...90&acctid=6536.

Its 16" open sided with power feeds. This expensive machine is going to go cheap, why? its 600 volts, that might be a problem for you also. If the price is right might be worth investing in a transformer.
