    Re: What's a rucker?

I can speach for this one since I had many ruckers, a rucker is someone who will transport something for you, for example, you are from Thornhill and you buy a tool from a guy who is from close to my place, well a rucker will transport the tool from my place and take it as far as he can, for example Montreal, and from there an other guy will take it as well as far as he can, and this continue till the item get close to you, this forum is a great place to buy tools and get nice rucker. There is also a Putter, this one will hold an item for you till you pick it up and you find a rucker to get the tool moving in your direction... Hope this will anwwer your question.

This question has been asked before. But Jacques has answered it pretty adequately.

          Best thing since sliced bread.
AND you meet fellow woodworkers, and see some different shops too.
And maybe travel a few roads you might not have.

              Re: What's a rucker?

It is attributed to Keith Rucker of vintagemachinery.org. He needed a machine moved across country and the term was coined. There may be others with more info on it, but that's the basics.
