  • Looking for someone to pick-up a tool in Toronto

    Hi there !

I'm looking for someone that would be able to pick up a small vintage scroll saw in Toronto (Etobicoke) and hold it until I found a rucker from Toronto up to Gatineau/Ottawa.

I haven't had the chance yet to do some ruckering for other forum members (I'm in Quebec City!) but I've been doing it a few times time here in Quebec for several people from another forum including Jacques (YES he also buys tools in Quebec not only in Ontario!).

Anyway, if this is something someone would be willing to do, shoot me a PM.

    Many thanks !

    Regards

    Alex

This is a bit out of the way, but I plan on driving from Monteith (Timmins) to Ottawa via North Bay on Oct 26'th. If it can get to North Bay, I can take it to Ottawa. I think I'd need to see a photo for size because I will already have a riding mower in the back of my Colorado and I'm not really supposed to be tossing heavy stuff around yet. (in treatment for the prostate)

I'll be travelling back from Ottawa to Monteith via North Bay on Oct 30'th if anyone has anything small to go north. On the return trip I will have a snowblower in the truck box...

      cheers

If you can get someone to pick it up in Etobicoke I will pick it up and drop it off on my through to NB and Jacques. You would have to meet me at an exit on hwy 20 or somewhere I could drop it on that side of the river if you want it in Quebec City

I am checking the forum several times most days so I always use the ''today's posts'' feature and therefore what forum is of zero relevance to me. It seems to me there are people who search only the forums of interest to them and these people will be unlikely to look at a ''Ruckering'' forum, they would not even know what it means or that it exists. They might have been tickled to participate had they seen the request mentioning a municipality near them. If only people would make their titles meaningful!

Where abouts in Etobicoke approx? It's a big area. Might be able to pick up in the South part Sunday afternoon.

                          Hi gents !

The little Beaver scrollie finally made it to my shop tonight after a 2 months long trîp !

Thanks again to CCelenza for having bought the tool
to Brian@Muir for ruckering it up to Jacques' shop in Kamouraska
and to Jacques for bringing it to me in Quebec City this morning.

Cheers to all and do not hesitate to ask for me help in Qc-Mtl region !

                          Regards

Nice scrollsaw, glad it made its way down. That can fall out of the back of a pickup and still work perfectly after
