    It looks like a handle to hold a hacksaw, drywall saw or box knife blade.

      Had one many years ago, you could buy metal cutting blades that would be held to the handle by the small stud shown. Probably bought it at CTC. So the answer is. "A hacksaw handle", Roy

        Almost looks like a back pocket tool for night walks in undesirable areas!

          It's a hacksaw handle, I have 2 of them but can't seem to find the blades anywhere.

                      They make a version that holds a standard hacksaw blade.

                      You will find more handles than handles with blades. The blades never wear out, they bind and bend or break at the handle. You say words and never use it again.
