ID:	1268183 properly sharpen the many chisels and planer blades I have. I signed up for a 2 day sharpening course at the WILLIAM NG School OF FIne Woodworking. An excellent course and an excellent instructor, William Ng himself was the instructor. Was introduced to Japanese planes and bought one. The pics show the results after fine tuning the soul, sharpening the blade and fine tuning the chip breaker of my Japanese plane.
    please don’t ask me sharpening questions as I probably don’t know the answer,

    With a continuous shaving like that Brian it looks like you're ready for the Kezuroukai Planing Competition!

      I rather doubt that Jim, we all get lucky once and a while. I was impressed with the Japanese plane. Adjustments with a hammer and no fancy knobs to turn.

        We are never too old to learn. Why would I want to learn I can just bring my tools to you to sharpen by an expert, I have always liked his videos.

          My shavings always curl up. The sound of a hand plane cutting is intoxicating to myself.
