  • Hitachi Jointer/Planer Help

My Hitachi F-100A jointer/Planer needs a new armature and every where I look it's been discontinued. Anyone have any ideas how I can get it fixed. I really love the machine it would be a shame to have to junk it. HELP PLEASE!!

    Re: Hitachi Jointer/Planer Help

I have the F1000A and understand your reluctance to junk it. I could use the aluminium folding table if you did. I looked at all the usual part suppliers and also got nothing but did find a rewind service that does fix them. Your other option would be to locate a good motor rewinder closer to home. Keep me in mind for parts if you decide not to go ahead with the rebuild. I'd pretty much take the whole thing for parts if the shipping wasn't too bad.

I've been down this road before as well. Your cheapest option is that Eurton electric link Pete gave a link for. Good luck!

Thanks Pete. I'll definitely look into the motor rewind option. The problem is going to be getting it apart. I hate Phillips screws!!
