Can anyone give me some leads on where I might find a magnetic start switch for a 220 single phase motor?
I have a 3 hp, or 5 hp motor I can use. The 3 hp is a better choice except for the 5 obviously has more hp
busy bee has one rated for 3 hp,that’s all I have found

the overload is the amp setting for the motor. it trips out at the value. i think you set it to
the motor value plus 10 or 15 percent

example motor 10amps set overload to11 to 12 amps
overloads usually have a range 10 to 16 amps
8 to 12 amps etc..

the switches i have a lower ranges like 7 amps suitable for lower hp motors say 1 or 3/4hp
you would need to change the overload to suit your application
phone a motor shop etc...
