    Cabinet saw....barely worth any discussion at all, sometimes we (me) can overthink these things to death.

      ...I'd opt to upgrade the table saw before the jointer......

      ..... being able to more safely make more accurate cuts is more difficult to achieve by 'fiddling' with an underperforming saw.....

      .... while the "shorter bed" issue on a jointer can be dealt with by
      make extension stands, knocking off the bulk of severely "unlevel" ends of a longer board with some handplaning (something I still do to preserve maximize finished size, even though I now have an 8" jointer) and having confidence that the results of the jointer are indeed flat by having a dead flat workbench on which to gauge the progress of the planing/jointing... the 2" in width is much more difficult to work around with a 6" jointer but in my experience the extra two inches is a relatively infrequent need.......

      but certainly, if a super deal on the second choice (used) machine turned up early, I would probably not let it pass by
