  • Flatten Brass Shimstock

    how can i flatten a 3 by 5 inch 0.010 piece of brass shim stock so i can glue it into a pen blank
    it has a slight curvature that i really cant bend straight reliably

    heat, followed by weight?
    my shop is a beaver lodge

    Roll it back and forth across a rolling pin with the concave side up, pressing down on the high ends, gently, but enough to eventually roll it flat?

      Heat it up red hot and clamp between two flat pieces of steel, that should make it flat when cooled down.
