  • ID of old European lathe

    Hi,

This lathe is for sale in Norway. The owner, who has inherited the lathe, have been told it is made in Germany. She is unable to find any markings on it.

I wonder if any of you have a clue about who manufactured it?

It was purchased new by a steel foundry, and used for pattern making.
It weighs about 1000 lbs (450 kg).
Max material diameter is 40" (100 cm) when utilizing the gap.
Max material length is about 5' (150 cm).

    Thanks,

Re: ID of old European lathe

Have no idea who was the manufacturer, but that is an impressively large assembly of metal. Likely a little too big for making pens! Roy
Are you solving the problem, or becoming part of it?
