Working on the switch plate artwork . Original was severely damaged and in my opinion lacked the graphic arts which bring these things to the next level. I took the liberty to add the #WadkinTemple logo and improve the graphics for the iGranite symbol.

Holy crap, Jack, you really go to the extreme limit with your rebuilds, don't you?! Not only will this machine work to its maximum capability, but its looks will be, too.

Given the number of hours of painstaking and skillful effort that has gone into breathing life back into this vintage machine, one can only wonder what its monetary value will be...

Thank you Marty for the kind comments. Much of this is just about doing something the best you possibly can and that is where its value was initially from. It’s not about the economic rewards as these machines generally have no monetary value . it’s about the experience of reaching for the best you can do and then having this machine as an example for everything you pursue in the future. In those Terms it’s priceless as it allows us to continue to advance as craft people and reach for that buildable utopian perfection .

Jack has set a new standard to beat for sure.....But you really cannot buy a new machine anymore made like these. My B-witch list of issues for newer machines is actually quite long and many of you will agree. It may be 70 plus years old but those items where age is an issue have been dealt with. It is fundamentally a new machine made to yesterdays standards plus more. They also designed these machines to be produced from castings using milling machines, metal lathes, metal planers, etc. The technology of the time. Side effect is that these older machine tools have found new life so many of us can actually MAKE the same parts as needed for repair or upgrade. And what is even cooler is that these old high quality machines have brought many walks of life together. We now have our own version of the United Nations. ROCK ON!

That is how you do the tags. Some tags are plain while others are horid complex. But you need the tags. I think we need to make a unique tag for ourselves so others may see who did the restoration. Jack's PK has no less than three tags including the wadkin tag. Mine only had the one wadkin tag. So I will add my personal tag and a tag outlining any major electrical changes that may need to be made.

Hellyah! I like it! Gets the job done, has a tad of color and not too busy. Good design. It would be nice if the black was finished out with starrett black wrinkle paint. I will be using some of it later on so I will need to do my research on this paint.
