Hello all, I was recently able to pick this item up from an auction sale…but no one I know has any idea of what it is. Any ideas out there?

Actually, I'm gonna change my answer...it's a vise for filing circular saw blades.

To me it looks like a bolt on stand to hold a circular saw used for ripping.

I would go with filing hand saws. One for a circular saw would be curved at the top.

Judging by the marks on the jaws it would be a pretty small diameter blade.

I appreciate all the info…and I have one last question…before I repurpose the wood, is there any value to this? I don’t want to cut up something that is a collectible item.

I would go ahead and repurpose the wood.

It is looks to be homemade so there would no real value to anyone but you.
