Glueing handles
Anyone making new handles for steel kitchen utensils. What is the best wood and what glue is waterproof and lasting?

The list of woods for such pieces is rather extensive. Basically, wood such as beech, maple, or any of the fruit tree woods are fine. You're looking for woods that don't splinter easily and have a nice smooth grain. As far as glue is concerned, I prefer epoxy - the type that takes several hours to fully cure (not the 5-minute product, as it's not as durable).
