Hi folks, I am about finished a nice quarter sawn white oak coffee table for my daughter. I am all for tradition but don't have the facility or the inclination to fume it with ammonia. My daughter would like a medium dark brown. She does not want natural. What are your favourite methods? I thought oil stain, watco oil then shellac followed by crystalline wax. Never done it but it sounds good. Your thoughts? Wood Doc.
