  • Varathane water based finishes

I just finished building a bookcase for my office, birch P/W, with 1/4" thick solid birch edging, stained with LV water based cherry red.
While applying the first coat of Varathane water based semi gloss interior finish, I realized that I'm about to run out of varnish. Then I noticed that I have a can of the same product, but exterior grade on the shelf.
Is there any risks or issues that I should be aware of, if switching from an interior grade finish to and exterior grade?
I can't think of any forthcoming exterior projects and I would hate to let an almost full can go to waste.
    Cheers,
    Werner

Look for a phone number on the can and give them a call.

I think it would be fine if the exterior grade product is also water based. Or perhaps even compare the information on each of the cans??

Is this about Varathane or varnish? Does Varathane make varnish? I'm confused.
