  • Making saloon doors without hanging strips?

Is it recommended to make saloon doors without hanging strips?.........Just curious as to what your opinions are...........I've previously made them with hanging strips, but I think the majority of people have pass-throughs like living room into kitchen without a wooden jamb, just drywall, so not sure if it's really recommended without the wooden hanging strips....
.........all I know is that it's a pain to make the strips, but I keep getting customers wanting the doors......

If you screw the hinges directly to dry wall you may find the dry wall will crumble behind the hinge, big mess.
