Finally found something that does not work well with the Pegas chucks on my Excalibur EX-21. This may also be an issue with the factory installed chucks.

Trying to cut a solid sided bowl, using 3/4" stock and 1/2" sides. The book says that this requires a 34 degree cutting angle.

I tried tilting the head to the left, but at 34 degrees, the lower chuck is banging into the table! That was disappointing, since tilting to the left lets my light, which is mounted on the right side of the stand, shine onto the workspace.

Had to tilt the head to the right, and that worked OK.

The saw is supposed to tilt 45 degrees both left and right. I don't know if it will do that with the stock chucks, but it certainly won't with the Pegas chucks.
