very niceHave done 4 loop on slightly larger items so can appreciate the effort needed to get 6 on a small item like that. Do you start with 6 sided blanks? How thick are the inserted pieces?

yes, you have to start with a true hexagon, otherwise its just the same as a 4 loop
my kerf cuts are done on my bandsaw with a sled, cant remember the thickness of the inserts but they are the same as the bs kerf
i use a sled on the bs and cut almost all the way through leaving about a 16th to keep the pieces aligned
