              Well, isn't that a cute little crane arm. Wicked handy for lifting top plates. Tell your assistant to get his big bald head out of the picture!

                  A friend of mine is the regional rep for the company that manufactures these trailers. They have many many cool options and different sizes. This one is mid sized but great for this work.

                  I'll have a chat with baldy!

                    Really cool thread, in 1981 I helped Diann's dad make a timber frame barn. I was just the gopher, drill this, cut that, chop that mortise. The barn's still standing so I guess he knew what he was doing.

                    That wasn't much of a surprise however as in England he had been involved in a couple of refits of buildings that were about 500 years old. One site had planted white oak trees to be replacement timbers, that's long term planning............Rod.

                                On an European visit I can recall individual family house being built with a take down crane set right in the middle.
