  • Games for kids

Before Xmas, I made 3 of those board and I guess the lady loved them so much that she asked me to make her 3 more, it takes a long time to make just one, so I decided to make seven of the at one time and for Rod Sheridan's daughter, yes this is a pile of sticks lol..

      Re: Games for kids

To win the game all the blocks are to be up. The game is played by rolling two dice, and the number showing by adding the two dice give you the numbers you have to put the blocks, ie: you roll 8, you may choose to put No 8 up or 6 and 2 or 7 and 1, as long as the numbers totalled what you rolled. Once the total numbers of the block are 6 or less than you use only one dice. Hope you understand what I just explained lol.. I am having problem of understanding it myself. lol...

Hi Jacques, I have made that game also a few years ago. It's called "Shut the Box".

Jacques.....thanks for the explanation, I understand it. Always on the hunt for toys/games to make for the local Christmas Cheer organization, and it is never too early to start the manufacturing stage. Roy

Done with some of them, the one with no numbers is to make the game more complicated to play.

Looks good, on the ones I made the numbered blocks flipped on a steel rod, looks like your's slide? Haven't seen that version of the game before. Can't find a picture of the ones I made but I followed this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpOYGgVObOg
