  • Kingston Wood Artisans "Artistry in Wood 2019" Exhibition

Earlier today I heard from Marty Schlosser, who plays a huge role with the Kingston Wood Artisans, who is heading up their "Artistry in Wood" exhibition. It's a juried and non-juried show that takes place April 6th, 2019. Deadline for submissions is March 15th. It's a great opportunity to get your work out there, or just be a part of a great woodworking event. Below is some info about the exhibition.

This is a reminder that the deadline for submitting entries to Kingston's Artistry in Wood 2019 exhibition is fast approaching. We've already received several entries and it'd be great to see your work also exhibited. But don't delay, as the 15th of March isn't long off!

This juried exhibition of wooden objects will be held on Saturday, 6 April 2019 at the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning – Kingston’s centre of art. Artistry in Wood 2019, the first ever exhibition of its kind to be held in Kingston, will afford artisans such as yourself the opportunity to exhibit your work in a very unique and impressive gallery setting. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbours to take in this free-of-charge exhibition; they'll be interested to know that there's a door prize as well as the opportunity to vote for their favourite piece. We are anticipating hundreds of visitors that day, many of whom undoubtedly recognize and appreciate finely designed and crafted objects. What better way could there be to showcase your work and talents to such a discerning audience? And of course the jury will be awarding up to 5 honourable mentions as well trophies to the winners in each category: Youth (under the age of 18) and Open (everyone else).
