    Jackmaya, it seems even though you are on the other side of the country from me, we have similar ideals about firelogs. I didn’t take a pictures of the log or my process, but just have the finished result made from yew wood.

    Very cool. I can't wait to see the finished box. Firewood is one of my favourite sources of material - you can often find real gems if you look carefully enough. I have attached photos of a box and a pen I made from wood I scavenged from my in-laws firewood pile.

    I decided to cut the box straight and make 4 legs instead... I think its better like that! The legs are not glued yet...
