Anybody know why the Kitchener Wood Show closed after 24 years.
I just got a notice that the wildfowl carving championshipand the Owl's Nest carving competion is still a go but being held at rim park
    March 15, 16, 17 2013
    seems a little sudden
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints

I am sure with Federated pulling out it was a big blow.
Hamilton maybe the only one left. There were rumors of the Hamilton show people trying to get a Toronto show off the ground.

The new Toronto show was pulled due to lack of major vendor support.

        Re: Kitchener Wood Show

I received notice that the Woodstock woodshow has been purchased by the Woodstock Ag Society. I got an entry form for the woodworking competition that will be held during the wood show this year, Sept 28 - 30th.

So, it looks like Woodstock is still hanging in.

Bad news about Kitchener though. I really enjoyed wandering through that one every year.

Yes Woodstock is still going and at least this year they are sending out registrations
maybe they can keep it going , I think it is getting tougher every year because of internet sales
myself I have to see something working to see if it going to work for me
but I have what I need and if the younger generation isn't buying yet it may be tough

I heard it is no longer going because the husband died. Too bad. It was one of the better ones. As for Woodstock, the website is still the same for months. I know they are always slow to get the website up but a fellow I know said he emailed them with a question well over a month ago and never even got an aswer yet. The vendor list is a real hodgepodge.

Bill was *not* Kathy's husband, just a very dear friend and business partner.

              Just an FYI.
