  • Some kid's stuff I do on my CNC router

A child's step stool to get to the sink

Three sizes of chair (knock down)

Which I also customize for gifts...

    Rockers in a few sizes

    Benches in a few sizes

And although he's not a human kid, he is still part of my family and my "kid"... My dog Gibson has had a bunch of things I have made on the CNC, including his water and food bowl holders...

Having even a small CNC router really allows these types of things to be made quickly, accurately and as many as you want. I am always trying to think of things to do for our son, and the kids of our friends.

That is awesome. I'd love to have a CNC Machine. My next project is a paint Booth - then a small CNC Machine. Thank You for Sharing and
Inspiring me not to give up on it. Jamie

Question: Is this a home made CNC Machine? or bought. Again Thx Jamie

Do you sell this stuff, or is it just for family/gifts?

I don't know if you have looked at prices some places charge for simple things like baltic birch toddler beds, but if you marketed this stuff online you could probably make a bundle of money.

This is an example, guess how much it sells for?

What is it? No scale, but judging by the screws it looks large-"ish". Dog bed?

I think its a toddler's bed. So its sized for a crib mattress, which are 28x52ish.

CNC router looks like the perfect tool for making balance bikes. A balance trike is on my list of things to build this year for my little guy.

I will keep that in mind when our son is ready to get out of his crib (soon I hope).

I dont sell a lot of this stuff, and when I do its mainly to people I know. I started making it for my son and other people saw it, and liked it. For liability reasons (basically what the limitations are on my business liability insurance) I am allowed to make kids chairs and tables, and toys. I am not allowed to sell cribs, high chairs, etc. You have to be careful when you do things for sale that involve young children. Even my rockers have a very long tail, and rock very little. Not as much fun, but no one will flip over backwards. The last thing I want is for anyone to get hurt.
