  • Dust Deputy Prices

Like so many others lately, I too have recently upgraded to a 2 HP CX405 dust collector. As so many others also seem to be doing (as a true cyclone is not in the budget for my small shop), I was looking at the Super Dust Deputy and looking at the Busy Bee flyer (which I will admit expired Mar 11, 2017) and the price was $280 on sale for $269. Looking at the website today, it is now $449 on sale for $399. And you guys thought Festool price increases were crazy. Has anybody still got them any cheaper available in Ontario. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you.

              Re: Dust Deputy Prices

Thank you for all the help. Spoke with busy bee at the London location and they have no idea why the price increase and had no interest in price matching. I just ordered one from KMS for $239 and looks like free shipping even to Ontario.
              Thanks again

                Re: Dust Deputy Prices

the main rule of on line purchasing seems to be "never stop looking". There is usually always someone with a better price somewhere. Frequently with free shipping and most often without PST. While I prefer to buy locally, the selection is not always there and prices are better elsewhere.

I saw the metal one at the BB in Mississauga on clearance for $299 a few days ago if that helps.

                      Re: Dust Deputy Prices

Dust deputy arrived today by Canada Post from KMS. $239 plus tax and free shipping to Ontario. Thanks again for all the advice. Now to make it work like all the others that have modified their dust collectors.

Wow. I've built a larger Pentz cyclone. That price is shocking.

I know I was shocked too but thought I'd check out having a sheet metal place fab one up
something for others to consider as well.

I was thinking of getting the same collector and making the conversion to the dust deputy also. Have any photos of your configuration for me ref. I am concerned about the overall footprint in my small shop.
